| This 5600 square foot, four bedroom home in rural North Pomfret, Vermont was designed for a growing family of
four. The wooded, sloping site features an expansive view to the Green Mountain range, an existing barn, and a
swimming pond down hill. The house is cut into the site allowing the main and lower level spaces to flow directly out to the
site. The main level is designed in three wings; a large family area open to the kitchen and a sunporch, a centrally
located formal dining area adjacent to the entry and open staircase, and a utility area with library, office, bathroom
and mudroom. The design includes a separate garage connected to the main house with a closed porch, which acts
as an air lock to the mudroom during the snowy winter months. Other features of the design include a highly
efficient wood burning "Russian" stove, a second floor screened sleeping porch adjacent to the bedrooms, in-floor heating,
a dumbwaiter and laundry chute.
