This home was designed as a gathering place for a retired couple with a blended family including 32 grandchildren. It is located on top of a hill with an expansive view of Mt. Rainier which became the focus and orientation of the design. Designed with three wings including the bedroom, the kitchen-dining, and the central entry and great room. The gracious entry with a reading loft above, opens to the great room’s two storey window wall which frames the view of Mt. Rainier. All areas branch from this room including an open stairway and elevator to lower level guest rooms and a central a play room.
