Porch Remodel in a Single Family Residence

 

Rebuild of front porch

 

 

Mt. Baker Neighborhood, Seattle, WA

 

60 sq. ft.

The original porch on a 1915 brick home was undersized and in poor condition. The path from the sidewalk was over whelmed by an overgrowth of plants making an unwelcoming entrance to an otherwise lovely home.  A larger porch with a more prominent roof was designed to create a structure better proportioned to the front façade of the house. A new garden, stone wall, pavers and stairs were built to work with the new porch to create a more open, gracious, and welcoming street presence.
